Police Attack The Penans With Tear Gas On Behalf Of Their Timber Tycoon Masters
Dismantlement of a Penan logging road blockade near Long Ajeng (Ulu Baram) by riot police using tear gas on 29 September 1993. Due to the excessive use of force during the dismantlement, the Penan reported that 203 persons were injured. Three people died as a result of the police attack.
